# Now Write vs 1Drop

The clearest difference is device support: 1Drop at 4 against Now Write's 1. On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Now Write sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and 1Drop sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
