# FauxChat vs Faux

The clearest difference is ads: FauxChat at none against Faux's shown. Faux's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FauxChat sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Faux sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
