# AltCom vs BlackNod

The clearest difference is update cadence: AltCom at every 2 weeks against BlackNod's every 6 months. AltCom also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AltCom sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and BlackNod sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $40.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AltCom ships an update every 2 weeks, BlackNod every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
