# SnapFind vs Better Writing

The clearest difference is monetization model: Better Writing at freemium against SnapFind's subscription. Better Writing also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 5 days). SnapFind's advantage is ratings volume (465 vs 1) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 26.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SnapFind sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Better Writing sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Better Writing holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SnapFind has 465 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SnapFind ships an update every 5 days, Better Writing every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
