# CPN Practice Test vs FAA

The clearest difference is update cadence: CPN Practice Test at every 3 months against FAA's every 8 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CPN Practice Test sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $7.00 per month and FAA sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CPN Practice Test ships an update every 3 months, FAA every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
