# Ice Comic vs MMReader

The clearest difference is rating: Ice Comic at 4.9 against MMReader's 4.3. On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ice Comic sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and MMReader sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ice Comic holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 41 and 27 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 91% of Ice Comic's written reviews are positive against 94% of MMReader's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ice Comic ships an update fortnightly, MMReader every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
