# Shift vs Window

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Shift at none against Window's 1. Window's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Window sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Shift asks for nothing beyond the download.

Shift ships an update every 2 months, Window fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
