# Saga vs Y/n

The clearest difference is monetization model: Y/n at free with in-app purchases against Saga's subscription. Y/n also leads on review sentiment (61% vs 31%) and ratings volume (5.9K vs 160). Saga's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Saga sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Y/n sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Saga against 4.5 for Y/n. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Y/n has 5.9K ratings behind it against 160, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 31% of Saga's written reviews are positive against 61% of Y/n's.

Saga ships an update every 4 days, Y/n every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
