# Timeline vs Shift

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Timeline at none against Shift's 1. Timeline also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 6 days) and device support (3 vs 1). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shift sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Timeline asks for nothing beyond the download.

Timeline ships an update every 2 days, Shift every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
