# Timeline vs Before You Go

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Timeline at none against Before You Go's 1. Timeline also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly) and iOS requirement (14.0.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Before You Go sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Timeline asks for nothing beyond the download.

Timeline ships an update every 2 days, Before You Go weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
