# Slica vs Retrograde

The clearest difference is update cadence: Retrograde at fortnightly against Slica's every 6 weeks. Slica's advantage is iOS requirement (16 vs 18.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Slica sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per year and Retrograde sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Slica ships an update every 6 weeks, Retrograde fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 7, 2026.
