# Cove vs MindMail

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: MindMail at none against Cove's 3. MindMail also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 76%). Cove's advantage is ratings volume (1.6K vs 11). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cove sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. MindMail asks for nothing beyond the download.

Cove holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cove has 1.6K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of Cove's written reviews are positive against 100% of MindMail's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
