# NextStep vs Cadence

The clearest difference is update cadence: Cadence at every 4 days against NextStep's every 3 weeks. NextStep's advantage is device support (6 vs 1) and iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.2). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

NextStep ships an update every 3 weeks, Cadence every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
