# Left vs Fax Machine

The clearest difference is ads: Left at none against Fax Machine's shown. Left also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 7 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Left sells 28 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Fax Machine sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Left ships an update every 3 days, Fax Machine every 7 months. Both last shipped on October 28, 2026.
