# I Am Security vs Grapple Hook Hero

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Grapple Hook Hero at none against I Am Security's 4. Grapple Hook Hero also leads on review sentiment (75% vs 41%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). I Am Security's advantage is ratings volume (98K vs 2.1K). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. I Am Security sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Grapple Hook Hero asks for nothing beyond the download.

I Am Security holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: I Am Security has 98K ratings behind it against 2.1K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of I Am Security's written reviews are positive against 75% of Grapple Hook Hero's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

I Am Security ships an update monthly, Grapple Hook Hero every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
