# WaStory vs BingeRead

WaStory and BingeRead both sit at 4.2 stars, but that hides the real split: 62% of WaStory's written reviews are positive against 0% of BingeRead's. WaStory also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1K vs 3). BingeRead's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WaStory sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per 7 days and BingeRead sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WaStory holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WaStory has 1K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 62% of WaStory's written reviews are positive against 0% of BingeRead's.

WaStory ships an update every 3 weeks, BingeRead weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
