# Tintheque vs Notee

The clearest difference is rating: Notee at 4.8 against Tintheque's 3.4. Notee also leads on ratings volume (5K vs 5) and chart position (#71 vs unranked). Tintheque's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 70%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tintheque sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Notee sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notee holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notee has 5K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Tintheque's written reviews are positive against 70% of Notee's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tintheque ships an update fortnightly, Notee weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
