# Drive App vs NextChef

The clearest difference is ads: Drive App at none against NextChef's shown. NextChef's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Drive App sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and NextChef sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Drive App ships an update every 3 weeks, NextChef every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
