# Cryptogram vs LinkyWord

The clearest difference is ads: LinkyWord at none against Cryptogram's shown. Cryptogram's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cryptogram sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and LinkyWord sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cryptogram ships an update every 5 days, LinkyWord fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
