# Coherence vs ALTERD

The clearest difference is monetization model: ALTERD at free with in-app purchases against Coherence's subscription. Coherence's advantage is review sentiment (85% vs 63%) and update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Coherence sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and ALTERD sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Coherence against 4.7 for ALTERD. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 631 and 722 respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 85% of Coherence's written reviews are positive against 63% of ALTERD's.

Coherence ships an update every 4 days, ALTERD fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
