# Coherence vs Willowave

The clearest difference is monetization model: Willowave at freemium against Coherence's subscription. Coherence's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.3) and update cadence (every 3 days vs monthly). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Coherence sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Willowave sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Coherence holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Coherence has 597 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 85% of Coherence's written reviews are positive against 83% of Willowave's.

Coherence ships an update every 3 days, Willowave monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
