# Coherence vs Resonant Breathing

The clearest difference is monetization model: Resonant Breathing at free against Coherence's subscription. Resonant Breathing also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Coherence's advantage is ratings volume (642 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Coherence sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Resonant Breathing sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Resonant Breathing holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Coherence has 642 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Coherence ships an update every 4 days, Resonant Breathing weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
