# Coherence vs Field

The clearest difference is monetization model: Field at freemium against Coherence's subscription. Field also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and review sentiment (100% vs 85%). Coherence's advantage is ratings volume (631 vs 22) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Coherence sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Field sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $23.00 per 3 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Field holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Coherence has 631 ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 85% of Coherence's written reviews are positive against 100% of Field's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
