# Coherence vs Holiv

The clearest difference is monetization model: Holiv at free with in-app purchases against Coherence's subscription. Holiv also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Coherence's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (597 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Coherence sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Holiv sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Holiv holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Coherence has 597 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of Coherence's written reviews are positive against 67% of Holiv's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Coherence ships an update every 3 days, Holiv every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
