# Coherence vs Patch Tarot

The clearest difference is monetization model: Patch Tarot at free with in-app purchases against Coherence's subscription. Patch Tarot also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 85%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Coherence's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Coherence sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Patch Tarot sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Patch Tarot holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Coherence has 597 ratings behind it against 26, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 85% of Coherence's written reviews are positive against 100% of Patch Tarot's.

Coherence ships an update every 3 days, Patch Tarot every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
