# Coherence vs Same

The clearest difference is monetization model: Same at freemium against Coherence's subscription. Same also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 85%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Coherence's advantage is ratings volume (597 vs 6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Coherence sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Same sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Same holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Coherence has 597 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 85% of Coherence's written reviews are positive against 100% of Same's.

Coherence ships an update every 3 days, Same every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
