# Coherence vs Primalyst

The clearest difference is monetization model: Primalyst at freemium against Coherence's subscription. Primalyst also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 85%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Coherence's advantage is ratings volume (587 vs 16). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Coherence sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Primalyst sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Primalyst holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Coherence has 587 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 85% of Coherence's written reviews are positive against 100% of Primalyst's.

Coherence ships an update every 4 days, Primalyst every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
