# Collector vs MP3 Converter

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Collector at none against MP3 Converter's 3. Collector also leads on ratings volume (23 vs 2). MP3 Converter's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MP3 Converter sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Collector asks for nothing beyond the download.

MP3 Converter holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Collector has 23 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Collector ships an update every 10 days, MP3 Converter weekly. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
