# Bartender App vs Drinkstir

The clearest difference is monetization model: Drinkstir at free with in-app purchases against Bartender App's subscription. Drinkstir also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 83%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Bartender App's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly) and ratings volume (90 vs 6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and chart position there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bartender App sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Drinkstir sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Drinkstir holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bartender App has 90 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 83% of Bartender App's written reviews are positive against 100% of Drinkstir's.

Bartender App ships an update every 5 days, Drinkstir fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
