# lairner vs Superfluent Classic

The clearest difference is rating: Superfluent Classic at 4.6 against lairner's 2.9. Superfluent Classic also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). lairner's advantage is review sentiment (36% vs 0%) and update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly). Both are free to download. lairner sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Superfluent Classic sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Superfluent Classic holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 7 and 12 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of lairner's written reviews are positive against 0% of Superfluent Classic's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
