# EasyCode vs Cortex

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: EasyCode at none against Cortex's 1. EasyCode also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). Cortex's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 4 months vs every 14 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cortex sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. EasyCode asks for nothing beyond the download.

EasyCode ships an update every 14 months, Cortex every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
