# Linus vs Lettrd

The clearest difference is ads: Lettrd at none against Linus's shown. Lettrd also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 68%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Linus's advantage is ratings volume (759 vs 5) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Linus sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per 3 months and Lettrd sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lettrd holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Linus has 759 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 68% of Linus's written reviews are positive against 100% of Lettrd's.

Linus ships an update every 11 days, Lettrd every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
