# Otonic vs JazzEar

The clearest difference is rating: JazzEar at 5.0 against Otonic's 4.4. Otonic's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Otonic sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and JazzEar sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

JazzEar holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Otonic has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Otonic ships an update every 5 days, JazzEar every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
