# Otonic vs Taptum

The clearest difference is update cadence: Otonic at every 5 days against Taptum's every 3 months. Otonic also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Otonic sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Taptum sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Otonic ships an update every 5 days, Taptum every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
