# Hangul vs ScriptPad

The clearest difference is ads: ScriptPad at none against Hangul's shown. On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hangul sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and ScriptPad sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hangul ships an update every 3 weeks, ScriptPad every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
