# Sermon Scribe vs Bible Note

The clearest difference is monetization model: Sermon Scribe at free with in-app purchases against Bible Note's subscription. Bible Note's advantage is ratings volume (24K vs 1.5K) and chart position (#25 vs #132). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sermon Scribe sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Bible Note sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Sermon Scribe against 4.8 for Bible Note. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bible Note has 24K ratings behind it against 1.5K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 63% of Sermon Scribe's written reviews are positive against 66% of Bible Note's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
