# Sermon Scribe vs Bible Note Journal

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Bible Note Journal at 100% against Sermon Scribe's 64%. Sermon Scribe's advantage is ratings volume (1.6K vs 14) and rating (4.8 vs 4.6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sermon Scribe sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Bible Note Journal sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sermon Scribe holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sermon Scribe has 1.6K ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Sermon Scribe's written reviews are positive against 100% of Bible Note Journal's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Sermon Scribe ships an update every 6 days, Bible Note Journal weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
