# Sermon Scribe vs Simple Bible Tracker

Sermon Scribe and Simple Bible Tracker both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Simple Bible Tracker's written reviews are positive against 64% of Sermon Scribe's. Simple Bible Tracker also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 6 days). Sermon Scribe's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1.6K vs 9). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sermon Scribe sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Simple Bible Tracker sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Simple Bible Tracker holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sermon Scribe has 1.6K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 64% of Sermon Scribe's written reviews are positive against 100% of Simple Bible Tracker's.

Sermon Scribe ships an update every 6 days, Simple Bible Tracker every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
