# Nextpod vs Echo Frog

The clearest difference is update cadence: Nextpod at every 6 days against Echo Frog's every 2 months. Nextpod also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 26.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nextpod sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Echo Frog sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Nextpod ships an update every 6 days, Echo Frog every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
