# Truly vs Shared Countdowns

The clearest difference is update cadence: Shared Countdowns at every 9 days against Truly's every 3 weeks. Truly's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.5). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Truly sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Shared Countdowns sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
