# Sawa Eats vs Chaperone

The clearest difference is update cadence: Chaperone at daily against Sawa Eats's every 5 weeks. Sawa Eats's advantage is ratings volume (7 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.6). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sawa Eats sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Chaperone sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Sawa Eats against 5.0 for Chaperone. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sawa Eats has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Sawa Eats ships an update every 5 weeks, Chaperone daily. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
