# Audition Pro vs CDThing

The clearest difference is ads: CDThing at none against Audition Pro's shown. CDThing also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Audition Pro sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per year and CDThing sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Audition Pro ships an update every 2 months, CDThing every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
