# Tani vs ProgressBuddy

The clearest difference is ads: Tani at none against ProgressBuddy's shown. ProgressBuddy's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tani sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and ProgressBuddy sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tani ships an update every 2 months, ProgressBuddy weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
