# Público GenP vs JN

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: JN at none against Público GenP's 1. JN also leads on ratings volume (13 vs 1). Público GenP's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.6). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Público GenP sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $18.00 per year. JN asks for nothing beyond the download.

Público GenP holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: JN has 13 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 5 months. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
