# Spice It vs Work Buddy

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Work Buddy at 60% against Spice It's 0%. Spice It's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 9 months) and rating (4.6 vs 4.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spice It sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Work Buddy sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Spice It holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Spice It has 300 ratings behind it against 56, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Spice It's written reviews are positive against 60% of Work Buddy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Spice It ships an update monthly, Work Buddy every 9 months. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
