# ReadGenius vs Spelling Bee Amazing

The clearest difference is monetization model: Spelling Bee Amazing at free against ReadGenius's freemium. Spelling Bee Amazing also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.6). ReadGenius's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ReadGenius sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Spelling Bee Amazing sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
