# Beardly vs Focus Shift

The clearest difference is update cadence: Beardly at every 3 days against Focus Shift's weekly. Beardly also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Beardly sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $29.99 per year and Focus Shift sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Beardly ships an update every 3 days, Focus Shift weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
