# ScrollToStudy vs Synapse

The clearest difference is rating: Synapse at 5.0 against ScrollToStudy's 4.7. ScrollToStudy's advantage is ratings volume (183 vs 5). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ScrollToStudy sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Synapse sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Synapse holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ScrollToStudy has 183 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of ScrollToStudy's written reviews are positive against 78% of Synapse's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ScrollToStudy ships an update weekly, Synapse every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
