# Gamble Quit vs Padlock

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Gamble Quit at 100% against Padlock's 50%. Gamble Quit also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.2) and monetization model (freemium vs subscription). Padlock's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly) and ratings volume (27 vs 2). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Gamble Quit sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and Padlock sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Gamble Quit holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Padlock has 27 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Gamble Quit's written reviews are positive against 50% of Padlock's.

Gamble Quit ships an update fortnightly, Padlock every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
