# NoteIQ vs Playbacks

The clearest difference is ads: Playbacks at none against NoteIQ's shown. Playbacks also leads on ratings volume (1.3K vs 1) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 10 days). NoteIQ's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NoteIQ sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Playbacks sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NoteIQ holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Playbacks has 1.3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

NoteIQ ships an update every 10 days, Playbacks every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
